Phoenix-based Schuff Steel, who recently announced plans to build a new wind tower manufacturing plant in Bismarck, has selected a 70-acre site in the new Northern Plains Commerce Center to build its new facility. The company is still lining up capital to finance the project, which includes a $7.1 million tax credit. If completed, the facility is expected to employ anywhere between 300-1,500 people.
The Northern Plains Commerce Center is an industrial park that was established in 2008 to help support manufacturing and transportation industries in the region.
