Arrowhead Plaza was Bismarck’s first shopping center. Developed by T. Clem Casey, the center officially opened on November 11, 1953. Although small in comparison to other malls in the city, Arrowhead has maintained a strong presence as a major shopping destination.
Arrowhead still houses the original Dan’s Supermarket, along with a bank, pharmacy, liquor store, and Hallmark store. Another popular destination at Arrowhead Plaza is The Walrus Restaurant, which opened in the former Gizmos Pizza & Video space. A long-time tenant, Ben Franklin Crafts, closed in 2007.
